Life is an adventure, it's not a package tour!

Participatory, experiential small group travel, that allows you to see places from a new perspective!  We take care of the logistics without leading you around or scheduling all your meals or activities, allowing you to experience a place independently.

A love for travel, and a career in the business, led to my obtaining captain's licenses in Greece and Croatia, and taking friends sailing around the world for more than 20 years.

My Philosophy

To offer participatory, experiential travel off the beaten path of mass tourism for those who want a more immersive or active vacation. To not schedule every hour or where you eat, allowing you to experience a place more freely.

“Tourists don’t know where they’ve been, travelers don’t know where they’re going.”
--Paul Theroux

A 'slow travel' sentiment that is true anywhere:

"If you only have a week or so in Italy my advice is not to try to see too much. Rather settle into one region and savour the nuances and rhythms of life in your chosen corner." -- Andrew Smith, My Italy

Past Trips

Interested in learning more about my past trips? Reading about past trips can help you get a better idea of what the trips are like, and give you ideas for future travel.

I revisit the best destinations like Greece, Croatia and the British Virgin Islands typically every other year.  Italy is so popular and fun that I sail there every year, rotating among the three best areas.  In addition to the "by the cabin" group trips I offer every year, I am also available to plan private trips for small groups, to any sailing destination.  If you have a family or friend group of at least four people, ask me about my private options!
